Yu! Healthy Snacks Review + Giveaway

I am the type of person that recoils in horror at the thought of anything healthy. An apple? No thanks, I'll take a bar of chocolate.

Yu! Healthy Snacks sent me out a few items from their range to try out. I honestly didn't expect much in terms of me liking them.

I received:

  • Granola & Strawberry yogurt covered pieces
  • Banana pieces in a yogurt coating
  • Raspberry pieces in yogurt coating
  • Blueberry fruit chews
  • Mango fruit chews (x2)
  • Strawberry fruit chews
  • Strawberry fruit bar in yogurt coating
  • Wild berry fruit bar in yogurt coating
Now, I don't eat breakfast (I know, I know, it's the most important meal of the day!). When I wake up I feel a bit ill at the thought of eating anything and then by the time I get myself and C ready to leave the house there's just no time. As these snacks were so handy, I took these with me each morning as an 'on-the-go' breakfast snack.

Firstly, I tried the yogurt covered pieces. The granola was really crunchy, just what you would want. The banana and raspberry pieces were extremely soft and flavoursome. To me, it was just like eating a flavoured yogurt. These are made with 100% real fruit & they contain real yogurt. They are free from artificial colours and are great for energy.

Next up were the fruit chews. I'm not sure why but I was expecting a sort of, dried fruit to be inside. Boy, was I wrong! These are deliciously juicy and it was more like eating sweets (similar to Jelly Tots but without the sugar) than something healthy. The fruit chews are classed as 1 of your 5 a day, are suitable for vegetarians & coeliacs, contain no added sugar and, of course, are made from 100% real fruit.

The fruit bars were probably my favourite. There is a perfect balance of yogurt with a tasty fruit centre. I would definitely pick these up when I'm out and about as opposed to a bar of chocolate! These again are made from 100% real fruit, contain real yogurt, have no artificial colours and are great for energy.

You can find Yu! Healthy Snacks at their website, Facebook or Twitter.
(Disclaimer: I received these snacks free of charge in exchange for an open and honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own).

Yu! are very kindly offering my readers the chance to win the same selection of goodies that I received!

All you need to do is fill in the Rafflecopter widget below. Don't know how to use Rafflecopter? Di over at Super Lucky has put together a handy how-to guide. UK entrants only please.
